The vast majority of transformers designed and manufactured by Admagnetics are custom made.
Bespoke transformers run from the simplest transformer with voltages and rating defined by the customer, through to those were a number of special requirements have to be taken into account.
Our design team work to meet the needs of our customer, while observing our design processes according to our ISO9001 quality system, and achieving the demands of applicable British and International standards such as BS EN 60076, BS EN 61558 and IEC 60076.
Whether you are looking for a three phase to single phase transformer or auto-connected tapped transformer, or a heating transformer for use with resistive heating applications such as molten glass or heater mats with ceramic insulated elements Admagnetics will be pleased to discuss your requirements with you.
Custom Made Transformers
In addition to transformers produced to meet bespoke requirements, we also offer custom made designs, for both open type transformers, for incorporation into customers equipment, or as enclosed stand-alone items.
From a simple enclosure through to complex units comprising a number of elements which can be single or multiple transformers, voltage regulators, circuit breakers, fused switches, socket outlets and of course different combinations and configurations of these components.
What we produce is up to the specific needs of our customers and is a very interesting part of our business. We are always curious to see what the next special customer requirement will be.
If you have an interesting arrangement in mind Admagnetics will be pleased to discuss your requirements with you.
Three Phase Transformers
Admagnetics design and manufacture a range of transformers to meet their customer’s specific requirements as well as British and International standards such as BS EN 60076, BS EN 61558 and IEC 60076.
Our normal range of product starts from a few hundred VA up to 1,000 kVA as a double wound transformer. Different specification requirements may impact on this range but as a general rule, this is our typical, regular range of products. Auto-connected transformers can be provided up to 4,000 kVA.
With in-house design and core cutting facilities, Admagnetics is able to offer a flexible and speedy service for new and unusual requirements while also catering for the requirements of more standard type product required by customers.
Whether you are looking for a step-down or step-up transformer, rectifier or inverter transformer Admagnetics will be pleased to discuss your requirements with you.
Single Phase Power Transformer
Admagnetics design and manufacture single phase power transformers in double wound arrangements, for where isolation is needed, and auto wound connections, for when isolation between input and output is not required.
We produce single phase power transformers with capacities of up to approximately 2/3rds the ratings of our three phase power transformers.
Our in-house design team work to meet our customer’s specific requirements while meeting the demands of applicable British and International standards such as BS EN 60076, BS EN 61558 and IEC 60076.
Whether you are looking for a step-down or step-up transformer, panel or isolation transformer Admagnetics will be pleased to discuss your requirements with you.
Isolation from one system section to another can be required for a number of reasons.
In some cases, where different types or quality of earthing circuits are being used such as general and clean earthing system, or that a break is required in a circuit to avoid an earth loop or that galvanic isolation from one circuit to another is needed for another reason. It may be that electrical noise attenuation is required and so earth screening is wanted.
Whether an input transformer with K factor capacities or an output isolation transformer with low inrush characteristics is required, Admagnetics will be able to assist with an isolation transformer from our Olympic range to meet your specific requirements.
Whatever the case Admagnetics will be pleased to discuss your requirements with you.
HMT, PDU, K-Factor Transformer
Harmonic mitigation transformers with K Factor capabilities feature in Power Distribution Units (PDU) found at the heart of electrical power systems within data centres and other such applications where harmonic rich load currents are to be encountered.
The winding connection used has the feature of blocking the potentially damaging triplen harmonics through flux cancellation, which can cause overheating within delta star connected transformers.
Where zero phase shift with the ability to provide a secondary neutral connection is required our Dzn0 connection HMT transformers fit the bill.
A number of other characteristics are customer-specifiable making this a product which can be tailored to meet our customer requirements from project to project but where we also offer a standard range for general use.
Whatever the specifics Admagnetics will be pleased to discuss your requirements with you.
